The Right Side of History

A collection of writings that attempt to connect the meaning of the major and minor events and distractions of today to a broader philosophy of life that tries to strip away the non-sense, spin and lies to reveal something that is closer to truth.

We need to realize that we are all prisoners and the prison guards are ourselves. I am trying as hard as I can to divorce myself from my ego and this materialistic nightmare we have created and in the process awaken my spiritual self.

J'ACCUSE!!

9/7/05

I want to make one thing perfectly clear: I believe Katrina, the hurricane that caused the harrowing devastation on the Gulf Coast recently, was NOT the fault of the President of the United States George Bush, the Governor of Louisiana Kathleen Babineaux Blanco or the Mayor of New Orleans Ray Nagin.

But these photographs are:

Help Us

Citizens of the United States of America

Please Help Us and Dog

Left to die.

Sniper

Chaos and Anarchy within DAYS.

On River

"What's beyond...Thunderdome."

Raft

The richest nation on Earth...

In the Water

...could not air lift these people out?

Alive Names

Names that should haunt every elected official
From Baton Rouge to Washington DC
For the rest of their lives.

I was going to write a long post about this topic, and I might do so in the future, but in the process of finding pictures for my post all my "clever anger" and articulate rebukes seemed so meaningless. Just LOOKING at these photographs is powerful enough.

Maybe this hurricane, years from now, will be viewed as the turning point in the saving of our civilization because President Bush’s blatant disregard for human life and the priority of property rights is so obvious and directed right at the heart of “Red America” that maybe people, decent people, who are shrugging their shoulders now will actually join the fight back to humanity.

Kind of like in the 1960s when the great apathetic majority of America finally got behind, or at least agreed with, the civil rights movement AFTER seeing the images of innocent, peaceful black demonstrators being maliciously sprayed with high pressure fire hoses by white southern Buford T Justice types.

After all that has happened in the last week can you imagine someone still defending this administration?

What the hell is there to say?

We should ALL feel ashamed of ourselves.

Hello Everybody

Because this is the second time I received a "comment" like the one above on just installed this new thing blogspot is offering.

For now on when you leave a comment you will just have to retype a word that appears above your comment.

This will prove that the comentator is human and not a fucking spam machine sending out bullshit "comments" that are actually poorly disguised come ons for cock enlargers and/or golf clubs.

I am sorry for my vulgarity but don't you find it truly offensive that any attempt to freely exchange ideas is immediately urinated on by souless ghouls, so immersed in commerce and/or stupidity that the only material they have ever read was a bookkeeping ledger, cash register receipt and possibly the TV Guide.

Christ.

Is there any one out there who gives a shit at all????

Yes, I give a shit! We need to hold those accountable or "play the blame game" as the cowards like to say.

It was Jon Stewart who said: "Those who don't want to play the blame game are to blame" or "he who dealt it, smelt it."

You got that right!

The "Blame Game" is a particularly ridiculous talking point and if you hear anyone, and that includes Eddie Punchclock who lives next door to you, use it they are the equivalent of A "pod person" from The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

What are the archetects of this strategy actually suggesting with that cynical statement/accusation? We, the population of the USA, are not to question the competance, the priorities and even the very humanity of an admistration that fucked up so badly that THE DIRECT RESULT of their limited abilities to behave as leaders, or as "can do people" or even as just plain decent human beings without their heads up their asses are thousands, literally thousands, of US citizens left "on the beachs" in a major United States city begging and pleading for someone, anyone, to help.

The fact that these basic truths have to be debated scares the shit out of me and keeps me up at night.

Thank you Shoes for your comment. Also thank you for mentioning John Stewart, because, He is right now the only thing keeping me alive.

I believe, in the future, after all the non-sense and the horse shit that the Bushes, The Republican Party and the fanatical Right Wing religous nut bags who control this country have plunged us into subsides, I have no doubt Mr. Stewart will be considered a national hero by the people who remain to pick up the pieces.

The ones that are left to rebuild this country out of the rubble the Bush administration is producing at an alarming rate. A pile of debris which is being compounded daily by the Bush administration's denial, compassionless greed and willfulful ignorance.
