The Right Side of History

A collection of writings that attempt to connect the meaning of the major and minor events and distractions of today to a broader philosophy of life that tries to strip away the non-sense, spin and lies to reveal something that is closer to truth.

We need to realize that we are all prisoners and the prison guards are ourselves. I am trying as hard as I can to divorce myself from my ego and this materialistic nightmare we have created and in the process awaken my spiritual self.

I pulled into Nazareth...

Hello Everybody.

Long time no speak!

I'm sorry for the lack of posts over the last month. Ever since I left the cubicle jungle, I have been participating in a self-designed/self-medicated system of deprogramming. An attempt at altering the natural/unnatural state of the Human Being. That is the state of doing what they are told from the day they are born to the day they die or, at the very least, having someone tell them what to do every step of the way. From Parent to Teacher to Priest to Boss to Doctor and finally their own children as they lay dying in some decrepit nursing home…if they're lucky…following orders and if we don't, we feel guilty.

We live day to day, month to month, year to year, decade to decade, generation to generation, usually doing what we have to do and rarely doing what we really want to do. We usually try to measure up to some external guideline that has been laid down for us ironically by people who probably had it laid down for them.

We react. We exist.

So, this past month has been an attempt to make my own "market correction." To untether the spirit. To travel on an intense journey to the center of the mind and find out what an individual thinks left to his own devices if only just to see what lurks beneath the layers of the inconsequential.

With all that being said, I had a revelation at six o'clock this morning.

The most aptly named President in United States history was:

Chester Alan Arthur

Chester
"Crazy Chester followed me...
and he caught me in the fog."

Now THAT guy was chillin' !

Miss you,

Hey Larry, glad to see you back on your blog. I've got lots of good, fresh ramen over here, but I'm afraid it's a bit too far for delivery.

Hope you're getting by OK.

Rick

Hey Guys.

Everything is great, not broke yet, so the Ramen five for a dollar noodles (and it's cousin - store brand 3 for a dollar macaroni and cheese) have not reared their ugly heads yet. Hell, just the other day I had generic boiled ham (From Key Food... Sliced to order!) on a kaiser roll...WITH a slice of Velveeta!!!

Large living I be!

But seriously, everything is cool. Thanks for giving a shite. Definitely feel my passion meter rising and will certainly have new posts in the near future.

Thanks for the comments!
